I’d Prefer a Gas Tax Holiday to This

I saw that a convoy of 200 some trucks was driving around the Capitol today to protest high gas prices. Hm, I thought, what do they expect Congress to do about high gas prices? Why, cap them, of course.

We really didn’t learn a thing from the 1970s, did we?

Problem is, when those truckers finally do go out of business, what happens to the food distribution chain that’s become almost totally on….trucks? I dare say market forces are going to tack that onto the cost of doing business as well. I can only hope this will make food trucked in from California just as expensive as the locally-grown organic equivalent. Maybe this will make the latter more competitive with “factory food.”

I hope you guys have “victory gardens” in your backyards.
